The Fish Collection

Fish have been recognised as a source of artistic beauty for almost as long as used for food, appearing in cave art, acquiring mythological significance in Ancient Greece and from there to a Christian religious symbol.

Whilst painters and ceramicists have drawn inspiration, fish used in jewellery seems scant. I have chosen to represent three popular species found in the seas around Britain. These beautifully detailed creatures with their own personality are carved in wax before casting in precious metal.
